Grand Oriental Hotel held its annual Jaffna Food Festival with an array of delicious Jaffna cuisine. The menu was prepared to cover famous dishes. Chef Razaan who has an excellent knowledge and experience prepared the Jaffna cuisine in traditional style. 

The many varieties of dishes included onion dosai, paper dosai, masala dosai, sura pittu, milk pittu, prawn pittu, varieties of chicken, mutton and crab curry, odial kool, rasam, Jaffna ice cream, murukku, vade items and more. 

Commenting on the festival, Dulip De Alwis, General Manager – GOH said, “our aim is to offer an insight into ‘Yaal pana samayal’ (Jaffna Cooked Food) especially for the guests who have not had the opportunity to get the feel of this cultural food. Also this is a great opportunity for all in Colombo to experience the delicious Jaffna Cuisine.
